My dock configuration is corrupted when I save my form. What is wrong?
Home / Support / Knowledge Base

Product: SandDock
Published: Thursday, January 27, 2005

This is a problem that affects a small pertentage of developers using the design-time features of SandDock. The problem originates in the way Visual Studio caches assemblies referenced by your project. The problem only manifests itself at design time and affects only serialization of dock layouts.

The workaround currently recommended by Microsoft for customers experiencing this problem is to add the SandDock assembly to the GAC and set CopyLocal to false for the SandDock reference while developing your product. This will help to ensure that Visual Studio only looks for the SandDock assembly in the GAC and will not make arbitrary copies of it.

This is a Visual Studio issue and does not affect the performance of SandDock at runtime.
